Dress Your Pet Day

Parties, Festivals, Holidays everything we celebrate with great spirits and joy but what about our pets? Somewhere in all the excitement and fun we tend to neglect our lovely pets. To make Pets feel special Celebrity Pet Lifestyle Expert and Animal Behaviorist, Colleen Paige found a fun way to celebrate our beloved pets and to support the pet fashion community. The National Dress Your Pet Day is an exclusive day for pets where we get a chance to show the world how trendy and fashionable our pets are.

Dress your pet in various beautiful, Trendy and stylish costume and make them ready for the runway. This day is not all about dressing your pet but as the owner of the pet one must keep few things in mind before dressing your pet.
Firstly, the Outfit you select must be according to your pet. Every pet has its own character and personality so when you select a dress pick something that definitely goes with the character of your pet.
Secondly, Don’t over do. Generally when it comes to dressing pet people go over the edge and over dress the pet. Try and keep things very simple and trendy as over doing things not only spoils your pets look but also makes him very uncomfortable.
Thirdly, and most important is comfort of your pet. What ever and which ever dress you select for your pet must be very comfortable for your pet. It should give your pet the freedom to do and roam the way he wants. Its should not put any restriction on your pet.

Slowly make your pet comfortable for the costume. If you have never put any dress on your pet and one day you just do won’t make your pet comfortable. Making your pet comfortable with clothes and dresses is a gradual process. You should first start with something like a wrap on the waist for few days. Once your pet gets use to it then start with proper dresses.
If you want your pet to wear some head band or hat then start making him wear something on the head for few days and only if the pet is absolute comfortable with it only then make your pet wear costumes with head accessories. But don’t put anything on your pet that can be chewed or swallowed.

Once your pet is comfortable with simple clothes only then you should go for something complex. Selecting costume is your job but wearing it or not should totally be your pets decision.

Here are few costumes that could be used for National Dress Your Pet Day.
